Tempers Flare as Team Fever Takes 3 - 2 Series Lead

After coming back to tie the series yesterday, Team Fever made its presence known in a late night battle with Colin.

At 4:00AM, Colin spiked another high temperature at 104F. With the report of that, the ENT doctors have decided that it would be in the best interest to keep Colin on the ventilator through the day Monday and take him off on Tuesday. Monday's procedure is still a go with a scope of his airway to take a look at the outcome of the LTP surgery as well as to downsize the ventilator tube.

Keeping him on the ventilator an extra day, "happens 95-99% of the time," said Colin's doctors. "It should not be seen as any sort of set-back...it is perfectly normal to keep him on the vent an extra day."

Another round of tests have been ordered and are in process in checking for any sort of development of infections. Colin's doctors remain confident that the fevers are a result from the surgery and his body's way of fighting off any potential infection. The doctors and nurses will be keeping a close eye on his temperature on-going.

As of 8:24AM EST, his temperature is back down to 99F. We promise to keep everyone posted through today and over the weekend. Please keep your well wishes, thoughts, and prayers coming.

With Love,

Dan & Nicole
